PrintCOLUMBIA — Officially, Saturday's game in St. Louis between the Missouri Tigers and the Illinois Fighting Illini is sold out, but plenty of tickets are still available online for $55 to $10,000.
The 66,000 available tickets to the game in the Edward Jones Dome were gone by July 22, shortly after they went on sale at 10 a.m. Yet despite the official sellout, tickets are readily available on the Internet at Ticketmaster.com, StubHub.com, FindTicketsFast.com and Craigslist.org. Depending on their location in the stadium, individual seats range in price from $55 to $400.
Other organizations have tickets to give away. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is hosting an online auction featuring seven pairs of tickets donated by MU. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support research and program services for those in mid-Missouri living with muscle-wasting diseases. To bid, visit cmarket.com, the auction will close at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Members of the Mizzou Alumni Association can register to win a free pair of tickets on Mizzou.com. Current members and anyone who joins the association are eligible. The winner will be notified Thursday.
VIP packages are offered through the Rivals Club for those with bigger budgets. These specialty tickets include free parking, a pregame buffet, access to the Rams Club and a souvenir lanyard.
Rival Package prices range from $3,000 for a group of eight to $8,500 for a group of 20. Or, for those willing to splurge, goal line suites with seating for 24 are available for $10,000. Go to stlsports.org for details.
Tickets are also scarce for Tiger football games later in the season. Already, away games at Nebraska and Texas are sold out, as well as general public tickets for the Border Showdown in Kansas City against the University of Kansas.
Seats are currently available for the Homecoming game against Colorado and the Oklahoma State game, but the Mizzou Ticket Office predicts these will sell out by the end of next week.
